The SRP Assurance Scheme defines rules for actors engaged in measuring compliance or demonstrating improvements, providing demonstrable evidence of compliance with the SRP Standard and Performance Indicators and the use of SRP trademarks (Claims, Logos or Label) upon achieving assurance.
The SRP Assurance Scheme Version 1.3 came into force in September 2020, replacing all previous versions. A summary of substantive changes from the previous version is outlined in the Changes Document. SRP tools are designed and regularly updated through a collaborative process involving extensive engagement with key stakeholders. The development and revision processes are overseen by the SRP Technical Committee.
Any individual or organization wishing to lodge a complaint or grievance may send an email to grievances@sustainablerice.org. Please include: contact information of the individual(s) or organisation(s) filing the complaint/grievance; information about the individual(s) or organisation(s) against whom the complaint/grievance is submitted; brief summary of issues and events that led to the complaint/grievance; overview of steps taken to resolve the issue prior to lodging this complaint/grievance and any response received; and evidence/documents to support the complaint/grievance. SRP commits to impartial, consistent, and diligent processes for receiving and responding to complaints and grievances. All information will be handled confidentially by the SRP Secretariat. Further actions will be agreed and coordinated together with you.
Rikolto, a Belgian non-profit organization, is leading projects in Benin, Burkina Faso , Mali, Senegal, DR Congo and Uganda, with an aim of contributing to the global rice sector transformation agenda.
The Sustainable Rice Landscapes Consortium was established as a unique consortium led by UNEP, FAO, SRP, WBCSD, GIZ, IRRI and private partners to promote the adoption of proven landscape-level solutions for rice sustainability. The initiative will contribute to meeting national GHG reduction targets under the Paris Agreement, as well as restoring degraded landscapes and conserving biodiversity.
